MailChimp is a PC Magazine 2017 Editors’ Choice for email marketing tools because it is an excellent starter service. It’s one that’s easy to use even if you are still learning how email marketing works.
Many small businesses will pick MailChimp because it provides professional email marketing services for free—up to a point. The Forever Free plan lets you store up to 2,000 accounts (email addresses/subscribers) and send 12,000 emails per month. This works if you have a fairly small subscriber list and send newsletters less than six times per month. Unfortunately, the free plan does not include any technical support, but i have found lots of answers on youtube or by googling my questions.
Once you get used to some of the terminology, it’s easy to use. Example: Campaigns are the emails you want to send, Subscribers are your email addresses, etc. You can create different email lists/groups to target. And the campaign builder has drag and drop content/image blocks that are easy to use.
Even though MailChimp has a free plan, you would need to upgrade to the $10 lowest monthly plan to get premium templates, comparative reports, analytics, and other marketing tools.
